Vegan Bangers & Mash with Home-Made Gravy

What you need

Ingredients

  • 2 packs of Mash Direct Vegan Mashed Potato (200g)
  • Vegan Sausages
  • Home-made Gravy Ingredients
  • 2 medium sized onions
  • 500ml water
  • 2 tsp Worcester sauce
  • 2 tsp flour
  • 2 tsp vegan yellow mustard
  • 1 ½ tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • 1 - 2 tsp olive oil

Recipe method

Chop onions finely and sauté in a pan with a bit of oil until lightly browned. Add all other ingredients and cook for about 5-10 minutes. Season to taste if necessary.

Pre-heat a separate pan on a medium heat. Add a little oil and pan-fry sausages for 8-10 minutes, turn occasionally.

Put the gravy into a blender and process until you get a smooth gravy or hand blend in the saucepan.

Remove outer sleeve and pierce film lid of Mash Direct’s Vegan Mashed Potato and microwave for 2 minutes, stir thoroughly, leave to stand for 1 minute and serve.

Serve the sausages on Mash Direct’s Vegan Mashed Potato with some fried onion rings on top and pour the gravy over it.
