We are happy to say that our range is available across the UK and Ireland as well as further afield in export markets.   To find your local stockist visit the Where To Buy section of our website.

All our products are vegetarian with the exception of our:   Potato Rosti Potato Cakes Brussels Sprouts with Bacon Mash Pots – Bangers and Mash Mash Pots – Potato, Carrot, Parsnip and Bacon Burns Bites Ham & Cheese Bites Stuffing Bites Shredded Duck Bites   On all our vegetarian products you will find the Vegetarian Society Approved stamp.

Many of our products can be frozen however we believe that our products are always better fresh. Freezing our products can affect the quality in a negative way, causing a slight separation of sauces and textural deterioration.

 

Please refer to the back of pack instructions which clearly lay out which of our products are suitable for home freezing.

 

For products labelled as suitable for home freezing – always follow the bellow instructions:

  • Always freeze the product before the use-by date.
  • Thoroughly defrost in a refrigerator before cooking.
  • Follow the standard chilled guidelines on the pack for cooking.
  • Do not refreeze once thawed.
Most of our range is not dairy free, as we use butter and milk to make some of our produce.

Here at Mash Direct, all our products proudly wear the “Gluten-Free” badge. We are committed to ensuring that no gluten-containing ingredients ever make it onto our premises. Among our exciting range, we offer Beer Battered Chips, Beer Battered Onion Rings, and Curry Chips. These special treats incorporate gluten-free beer.

The beer we use, while made from barley—a known gluten-containing grain—undergoes a fermentation process that effectively eliminates the gluten content. This beer is certified gluten-free, containing less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten as per the manufacturer’s guarantee. It’s worth noting that this beer contributes to only about 1% of our overall product mix. The presence of barley is always indicated in the ingredients section in compliance with the FIR 2014 legislation.

To uphold our promise of gluten-free goodness, we put our products through rigorous gluten testing annually. The benchmark for a product to be considered gluten-free is less than 20 ppm, while for suitability for coeliacs, it should have less than 7.5 ppm, which is the lowest detectable level of gluten. We’re proud to say that all products from Mash Direct fall well below this limit, making them safe and enjoyable for everyone, including those with coeliac disease.

We are happy to say that none of our products contain nuts and our factory is nut free.

Most of our range contains either potatoes or dairy making them unsuitable for a paleo diet.

Delivery to the Republic of Ireland is £5.59 (Free on orders over €75).

We send out our Mash Boxes in cardboard boxes, with ice packs and wool liners to keep the packs cool and insulated. Your order will be packed with ice packs to keep the products cool. Please put them straight into the fridge when they arrive.

The Wool Liners are supplied by Wool Cool and the wool is totally compostable and biodegradable, and the plastic is easily recycled. Our cardboard box is recyclable and our ice packs are reusable –  just pop them in the freezer to reuse when required.

Although very rare, occasionally we may have to substitute some products in an order if we have a particular product which is unavailable. We will always try to replace your item with a similar product, where possible.

We are using City Air Express to deliver our parcels within Northern Ireland. They aim to deliver your parcel between the hours of 8am – 7pm, however during busy periods we cannot guarantee delivery between these hours.

You can also add a delivery note to instruct the courier of your safe place to leave the parcel if you are out.

*During Covid-19 – Our couriers are currently experiencing high volumes of orders – and orders may be slightly delayed. If your order is delayed – please let us know by contacting shop@mashdirect.com
