Healthy Fish Tacos

What you need


  • 4 pieces cod
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 teaspoons of water
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (red, white or both)
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Tortillas (charred/warm)
  • Lime wedges

Recipe method

Cook the Mash Direct Sweet Potato Fries in the oven as per packet instructions.

Start by mixing cumin, chilli powder, salt, lime juice and olive oil together to make the seasoning for your fish - brush onto the fish on both sides.

Next up is prepping the sauce and the slaw! Begin by whisking the sour cream with juice of 1/2 lime, water, chili powder, and salt together in a small bowl. Toss slaw ingredients together in a medium bowl. Place both in the fridge until ready to eat.

Drizzle olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, place fish in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, just until the fish is cooked through. Remove fish from the skillet, spritz with lime juice, and break apart into large chunks.

Assemble the tacos, starting with the charred or warmed tortilla and layering on slaw, fish, and sauce.
