Cottage Pie

Enjoy dinner with the family and save time using our Mashed Potato!

What you need


  • 2x Mash Direct Mashed Potato
  • 500g Lean Beef Mince
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Puree
  • 150ml Beef Stock
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Onion
  • Frozen Peas
  • 50g Grated Cheese

Recipe method

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Finely dice the carrot and onion, add to pan & fry until soft.

Remove carrots & onions from the pan and add the beef mince. Once browned, season with salt and pepper, add in tomato puree and worcestershire sauce. Cook for a further 2-5 minutes.

Add the vegetables back into the pan with the mince, add in frozen peas and beef stock. Let this simmer for 10-15 minutes on a low heat.

Transfer beef mixture to an ovenproof dish.

Heat up the Mashed Potato as per pack instructions.

Top the mince and vegetables with the Mashed Potato and spread evenly.

Sprinkle grated cheese and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
