Cheesy Broccoli Wreath

Cheesy Broccoli Tear and Share - perfect for Christmas parties!

What you need

Ingredients

  • Mash Direct Broccoli with a Cheese Sauce
  • 1 sheet of ready made puff pastry
  • 50g grated cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Fresh parsley

Recipe method

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the filling: Heat the Mash Direct Broccoli in Cheese Sauce according to pack instructions, then roughly chop the broccoli into smaller pieces and stir to combine evenly with the sauce.

3. Assemble the pastry: Roll out the puff pastry sheet and spread the cheesy broccoli mixture evenly across one half. Sprinkle grated cheese on top, then fold the pastry over to cover the filling.

4. Shape and cut: Slice the pastry into strips about 2–3 cm wide. Twist each strip gently a few times and arrange them in a circular shape (like a wreath) or in a pull-apart loaf style on the tray.

5. Brush and bake: Brush with melted butter and sprinkle a little extra cheese on top. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and crisp.

6. Garnish and serve: Once baked, top with a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds and chopped parsley for a festive touch. Serve warm and enjoy tearing and sharing!
