– Monitor and test water, solid waste, and wastewater effluent samples (e.g., COD, E. coli, coliform, pH, chlorine, hardness)
– Record and maintain detailed logs, spreadsheets, and digital records of test results
– Ensure compliance with NI Water and Environmental Agency requirements for water, wastewater, and ground samples
– Manage laboratory inventories, hazardous substances, and cleaning/sanitation chemicals
– Maintain site energy usage and update daily readings

– Recommend improvements and support continuous improvement activities
– Assist with internal audits and quality assurance controls
– Train new staff in water, lab, and safety procedures
– Proven experience in water treatment, wastewater systems, and lab-based testing
– Strong knowledge of NI Water/Environmental Agency compliance standards
– Skilled in using standard lab equipment and interpreting test results
– Familiar with chemical handling, site maintenance, and data analysis
– Competent in using spreadsheets and automated systems for tracking test data
– Experience as a Legionella Duty Holder
– Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
– Safety certification in safe lab practices and water testing procedures
– Strong mathematical and statistical skills for reporting and analysis
– A leadership opportunity in a critical area of operations
– Hands-on experience in a fast-growing, award-winning food manufacturing business
– Supportive environment with cross-functional collaboration across technical and engineering teams
– Competitive salary and benefits package
