Fish and Chip Tacos

Crispy fish tacos with skinny fries and homemade tartar sauce!

What you need

Ingredients

  • 2 pack of Skinny Fries
  • 2 cod fillets
  • 3 tbsp panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 pack of small flour tortillas
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp chopped capers
  • 4-5 chopped gherkin slices
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 handful chopped parsely
  • 1 handful chopped dill
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes

Recipe method

1. Cut the cod into fish finger-sized strips.

2. Coat each piece of fish in flour, then egg, then panko breadcrumbs. Repeat the process until all the fish is coated. Place in the air fryer at 200°C for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway through.

3. Add Mash Direct Skinny Fries to the air fryer at 200°C for 9 minutes, shaking halfway through.

4. While everything is cooking, make the tartar sauce: mix together mayonnaise, chopped capers, chopped pickles, parsley, dill, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Warm the tacos in a pan with a little spray oil until lightly toasted.

6. Assemble your tacos with the tartar sauce, crispy cod, and Skinny Fries. Garnish with fresh herbs, chilli flakes, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
