Mash Direct is a proud, family-run business producing real food, done properly. From our farm in County Down to supermarket shelves across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the UK, we grow, cook and pack vegetables we’re proud to put our name to.

Due to increased customer demand and expanded production schedules, we’re now recruiting Skilled Machine Operatives to join our growing factory team across both day and night shifts.

These are full-time, permanent roles, working 45 hours per week, with a premium rate paid on hours worked over 46.

What you’ll be doing

Working in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you’ll be essential to keeping our production running smoothly and efficiently, using specialist food production equipment.

Your role will include:

• Setting up machinery, adjusting settings and programs to ensure production lines get up and running
• Operating and monitoring production machinery, and carrying out routine checks
• Ensuring product meets quality, safety and weight standards
• Performing basic maintenance, and fault finding
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of machinery and work area
• Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures

Working hours

You’ll work 5 days over 6, Monday to Saturday, as part of a 45-hour working week. Shift times vary by department but a typical day looks like 5:00am – 3:00pm or 7:00am – 5:00pm.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for individuals who have a mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Previous experience of operating food production or manufacturing machinery is essential.
