Sausage Rolls with Carrot & Parsnip

A fresh twist on a family favourite — made simple.

What you need

Ingredients

  • 1x Mash Direct Carrot & Parsnip
  • 1x sheet ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1x pack pork sausage meat
  • 1x egg

Recipe method

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 180°C fan / Gas Mark 6 (or use airfryer)

2. Remove the sausage meat from the skins and place in a bowl. Add the carrot & parsnip mash and mix well.

3. Unroll the puff pastry and cut in half lengthways.

4. Spoon the sausage mixture down the centre of each pastry strip.

5. Brush the edges with beaten egg, roll to enclose the filling and press to seal.

6. Cut into sausage rolls and place on a lined baking tray.

7. Brush the tops with beaten egg.

8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
