Sausage and Champ Tarts

What you need

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of Mash Direct Champ
  • 1 packet Mallons low fat gluten free pork sausages - We used Leek and Pepper Sausages
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 2 small red onions
  • 100g cheddar, grated
  • Optional:
  • 1 pack of Mash Direct Green Cabbage
  • A pinch of chilli powder

Recipe method

Preheat your oven to 180 oC.

Cut the sausages into small, bitesize pieces. Peel and chop the onions, and finely chop the spring onions.

Heat the Champ according to packet instructions.

Place the Champ, eggs, spring onions, sausages, red onions and cheese into a large mixing bowl and mix well.

Spoon the mixture into the pre-greased muffin tray.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 - 45 minutes, until golden and cooked through.

Allow the tarts to rest for 5 minutes before turning out onto plates.

Serve with a side salad.
