What your job is all about:
As Communications and Marketing Executive you will be responsible for articulating our brand story internally and externally. You will work alongside our Head of Marketing and Assistant Marketing Manager to develop and implement an effective PR, Media and Communications plan to promote the brand. You will develop key campaigns, content and projects from inception to evaluation.
You will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to create compelling content to raise the profile of Mash Direct brand whilst ensuring communications are aligned. This will include the identification of appropriate PR, marketing and communications channels for materials produced. You will attend various events and shows throughout the UK and Ireland.
Who you are:
-A 3rd level qualification in PR / Communications / Marketing / Media or related field.
-A minimum of 2-3 years’ project management experience in PR / Communications / Marketing / Media related role.
-Developed strong relationships with local, regional, national and trade press.
-Experience managing PR agencies and ensuring they deliver agreed KPI’s.
-Experience and knowledge using a media monitoring press clipping service and generating press coverage reports and evaluations.
-Excellent communication and writing skills.
-Experience writing press releases for trade and consumer press, websites, blogs, ezines and award entries.
-Experience implementing an internal communications plan to ensure all department/stakeholders are kept up to date.
-Experience liaising with agencies and stakeholders.
-Excellent proof-reading skills and attention to detail.
-Developing a PR communications plan in line with agreed KPI’s.
-Sound negotiation and problem–solving skills including the ability to overcome challenges and identify solutions.
-Strong analytical skills and meticulous eye for detail.
-Sound interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships, both internally and externally.
-The ability to work within a team environment, on your own initiative and take the lead where necessary to achieve organisational objectives.
-Excellent organisational and planning skills including the ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise tasks.
-An ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst working on several projects at once and deliver them within agreed timescales.
-A positive proactive can-do attitude and willingness to learn on the job. A passion for food.
What you will be doing:
-Preparing and writing copy for both online and traditional channels.
-Responsible for day-to-day communication with agencies and preparing work schedules.
-Liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
-Organising and preparing media drops, competitions, and giveaways.
-Measuring and tracking our PR agencies’ performances against agreed KPI’s.
-Prepare weekly and monthly PR and Marketing reports.
-Reporting and evaluating the success of PR and Marketing campaigns, reviewing insights for the development of future campaigns.
-Working with the Head of Marketing to develop a Marketing and Communications Plan.
-Liaising with internal departments/stakeholders to ensure all communications are aligned and delivered within agreed timescales.
-Build and maintain a database for media and advertising contacts ensuring this is kept up to date regularly.
-Preparing a Media and Advertising Plan for regional advertising activity in line with company objectives and marketing strategy.
-Identify advertising opportunities to promote and gain exposure for the brand.
-Work closely with in-house or external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures and adverts.
-Preparing briefs, proof reading and signing off artwork with design agencies.
-Preparing work schedules and tracking design hours.
-Prepare an awards plan in line with company objectives and marketing strategy.
-Contribute to planning, delivering and implementing internal marketing campaigns and strategies.
-Organise photo shoots internally and externally.
-You will assist with organising and managing consumer and trade events.
40 Hours per week, starting from 9 am, depending on business needs
