Hello March! It’s a busy month for ‘Super Mashers’ as they prepare for the Mash Direct 40th Belfast City Marathon and are working on their training plan. We met with Samantha to find out what her favourite running tip was! Find out more here.

As part of our title sponsorship for the 2022 Belfast City Marathon we created our very own Mash Direct Mascot but needed help to name them! 🥕

We challenged the public to come up with the best possible puns and creative ideas to help us find a name, and after thousands of submissions we whittled it down to just three entries before putting them to the public vote.

‘Lightning McCarrot’ won by a landslide and so our Marathon Mascot finally has a name! ⚡️🥕

Expect to see Lightning McCarrot pop up as we get prepared for the 2022 Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon!

Entries are now open for the 2022 Belfast City Marathon!

Taking place on Sunday 1st May alongside the Marathon will also be the Team Relay and 8 Mile Walk event.

In October we were thrilled to have Mash Direct officially announced as the new title sponsor of the 2022 Belfast City Marathon!

Having been cancelled in May 2020 and moved to October 2021 due to the pandemic, the event will return to the traditional date on the May Bank Holiday weekend, taking place on Sunday 1st May with a full lineup of events to suit all levels of fitness.

The 2022 Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon is also the 40th year of the marathon so participants can look forward to exciting new initiatives including an Expo and Pack Collection at the Titanic Exhibition Centre, taking place over two days (Friday 29th and Saturday 30th April 2022) with a range of exhibitors suitable for the whole family to attend.
