Mash Direct Potato Farls

The perfect Irish breakfast!

What you need

Ingredients:

  • 1 Mash Direct Mashed Potato 400g
  • 50g all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Plus any of your favourite fry ingredients - sausages, eggs, bacon, avocado etc...

Recipe method

Place Mash Direct Mashed Potatoes into a bowl and stir in flour & salt.

On a well floured surface, knead the dough lightly.The dough will be sticky. Use a floured rolling pin to flatten to 1/4 inches thick. Cut into circles or whatever shape you prefer.

Grease a pan and fry the farls for 3 minutes on each side until evenly golden brown. Season with a little salt and serve alongside your favourite fry!
