The
Mash Direct Mail
28th August 2006
Issue 1
Welcome to the first edition of the Mash Direct
Mail, your monthly newsletter keeping you updated with all the latest
news and events from the farm at Mash Direct.
July and August have been very busy months. Mid
July we began harvesting our new season vegetables and potatoes.
Martin says it’s the best crop ever, so our mash will be even
tastier…new harvest, fresh to you, field to fork in less than
24 hours, what could be better.
1st August we began supplying Musgraves in the
South of Ireland, this will service approximately 180 Supervalu
stores from Donegal to Cork. There’s huge demand for our bunny
rabbit in all the stores so he’s going to be run off his feet!
We’ll have an official launch in one lucky Supervalu….it’s
all a little top secret yet, but as soon as details are confirmed
we’ll keep you informed.
Fruitstock, Regents Park, London, 5th and
6th August 2006
Well what an event, we were delighted to be part of the farmers
market, it was a lot of fun and we got to talk to so many people
(Approx 150,000 attended the event), our Colcannon, mashed potato
with cabbage mash, was a huge hit. They like their greens in London!
What was really nice was that, most of our customers wanted to buy
our mash because we make it exactly the way you would make it at
home – No Artificial Additives!!

Wednesday 9th August - Curleys Belfast Store –
Taste Fest
Once again, our mash proved
very popular and we were sold out by the afternoon, congratulations
to Curleys on a very well organised and successful event.

Mary Coughlan – Irish Minister for Agriculture and Food
Officially launches Mash Direct in Tesco (Ireland)
We were thrilled Mary Coughlan came along to Tesco
to officicially launch our mash. The minister, having two children
herself, said she was very keen not only to support an Irish farmer,
but also a product that contains no artificial additives.
