delicious
All our vegetables are grown and cooked on
our farm for supreme freshness and flavour. Our custom-built steam
oven gently cooks and retains maximum flavour. All we do then is
mash gently to maintain texture, add a little seasoning…all
you do is taste and enjoy.
In April 2006 we started working
with STEM (Sustainable Together through Environmental Management)
this involved a full company assessment followed by implementation
of an Environmental management system.
Because the majority of our raw materials
are obtained from the surrounding area, Mash Direct are constantly
aware of environmental impacts. The systems implementation has not
only lead to money saving changes but to a vast improvement on our
environmental impact through waste management and sustainably sourced
raw materials.
In April 2007 our environmental
management system was audited to the standard of BS8555 by NQA and
were issued our certificate in June.
It is no secret that one of the
main reasons our products taste superb is because of the freshness
of the raw vegetables. This also means we have complete traceability
from seed to harvest. With the factory on our farm we are in the
unique position of having our products on the supermarket shelves
within 24 hours of the vegetables being picked from the field.
Mash Direct follows the standards
set by HACCP and has recently been awarded Higher Level BRC. Our
quality system meets and surpasses the requirements of BRC –Efsis.
